Rastaman Live Up Daal Stew With Ginger

Carrot

Cauliflower

Cinnamon

Cumin

Ghee
0.75 tbsp
Ginger
90 grams
Green Lentils
0.5 tbsp
Honey
0.75
Onion
270 ml
Stock
30 ml
Tomato Sauce
2 tsp
Turmeric
10 ml

Prep

  1. Wash and cut your cauliflower so that they all have a similar size and shape.
  2. Finely chop your carrot, cilantro, ginger and onion.

Heating Steps

  1. Heat ghee in a pot and add carrot, ginger and onion, cinnamon, cumin and turmeric and fry at lower temperature for several minutes.
  2. Heat ghee in a pot, add Cauliflower and fry for 15 minutes.
  3. Add canned tomatoes, honey and lentils and mix.
  4. Add vegetables stock or water and simmer for about 25 minutes or until all vegetables are tender and legumes are cooked. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add yogurt and mix, simmer for 5 more minutes.

Finishing Touches

  1. Add Cilantro on top.
